Statement of VBUFA dated 04-02-2024
For some abominable bipeds even a tight slap is not sufficient. Bidyut Chakrabarty and his cronies in the Executive Council and a few of our colleagues belong to this category. They deserve to be kicked.
BC VC(ex) neither had any idea nor the acumen to give academic leadership to this institution which was founded and nurtured by stalwarts led by Rabindranath. During his entire tenure, particularly the last 3 years, the scoundrel made a mockery of his position and harmed Visva-Bharati in every possible way. To cover up his pathetic incapability he harassed and abused the faculty members and victimized anybody who dared to call a scoundrel a scoundrel. Abusing Prof. Amartya Sen was his favourite pastime. He even did everything to stop Visva-Bharati’s participation in a prestigious international collaboration at CERN. Visva-Bharati’s name is associated with the much acclaimed discovery of the Higgs particle through this collaboration.
We are extremely happy that
-- the Hon’ble court has quashed the vindictive action of BC VC(ex) and his cronies;
-- the Department of Science & Technology has initiated the process to restore the funding for Visva-Bharti for this collaboration.
We demand
• The scoundrel and his lackeys must compensate for the legal expenses incurred by Visva-Bharati for BC VC(ex)’s illegal actions.
• They must compensate for the legal expenses incurred by the affected faculty members, staff and students to fight BC VC(ex)’s illegal actions.
• The scoundrel and his lackeys must apologize publicly for their heinous actions.
Even after leaving office the scoundrel is continuing his heinous activities. A recent email from a false account and another email by his lackeys are part of the game plan. A few in the administration tried to create disruption recently.
Visva-Bharati must deal firmly and decisively with these evil creatures. For some a tight slap is not sufficient.
This statement consciously tried not to abuse, harm, or endanger any animal.
